UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS

DR. WILLIAM W.L. "BILL" TAYLOR MEMORIAL SCIENCE SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarship Awards: $4,000 per recipient
Application Deadline: Ongoing

In honor of The INSPIRE Project, Inc.'s Dr. Bill Taylor, The INSPIRE Project, Inc. with its partners at the DC Space Grant Consortium, NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center and other science and technology organizations established this science scholarship to help ensure our next generation of space explorers. Scientifically oriented undergraduate and graduate college students and high school seniors who are majoring in a STEM discipline and are currently (or will be) attending District of Columbia college or university are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility Requirements
All applicants must meet the following requirements and submit the required documents as outlined below:
  • Mandatory US Citizenship
  • Demonstrate above-average performance in their academic work through their GPA
  • Be registered for full-time study as a student in good standing in a Washington, DC university or college
  • Must be majoring in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) discipline
  • Submit current transcripts
  • Submit two letters of recommendation with at least one from a teacher or faculty member
  • Submit a three hundred to five hundred word essay discussing how this scholarship award will help you advance in the STEM disciplines and the impact it will have on your future career plans
