Mission | History | Leadership | Jim Palmer Board Member Jim Palmer is a Computer Systems Technologist working for NASA at the Space Telescope Science Center in Baltimore, Maryland. While possessing a particular affinity for Macintosh computers he is also well versed in computer security and network technology. He has broad experience in the IT field and during his career has worked in the legal, biomedical, dot-com and space science arenas. He received a B.A. in History at the University of Richmond and after college served for 4 years in the U.S. Army. He has spent the past 11 years practicing the Japanese martial art of Aikido and holds black belt rank. He enjoys spending time with his wife, good food, good whiskey, and good music in no particular order and sometimes all at once. |

engineering and math (STEM) topics and programs.
