Mission | History | Leadership | ![]() Secretary Karin Edgett is CEO of SunFriend Corporation which uses NASA Spinoff technology to make their patented wearable technology for sun/UV monitoring. Over a billion people world-wide are suffering the consequences of too little sun or too much sun and it’s SunFriend’s mission to reverse that trend with empowering tools. Her co-Inventor is Shahid Aslam, a NASA space scientist and expert on sensors. Karin is also a co-inventor and owner. Her website is SunFriend.com Karin is also a certified nutritional cook and the former owner of an advertising agency in Washington, DC. She was long-term friends of late Kathleen Franzen and William Taylor and helped brand and grow INSPIRE before selling her agency in 2008. |

The INSPIRE Project, Inc is a non-profit scientific educational corporation that provides engaging opportunities for students
to observe naturally occurred Very Low Frequency (VLF) waves generated by lightning and in the process gain hands-on, real world experience in science and electronics. It seeks to enhance educators knowledge of atmospheric and space science
to encourage our next generation of scientists. INSPIRE’s educational platform serves a wide range of science, technology,
engineering and math (STEM) topics and programs.
